To cycle along the lake or indeed along a river is one of the most exciting highlights on wheels. The quay as the leading way, passing villages, cities which are lined up alond the lake and rivers. It's those beauties that make the tour an eye opener and special.

Description of the route

  • Km 0.0: From Train Station Biel/Bienne cycle direction Neuchâtel (blue marker). Arriving at the lake, keep direction Neuchâtel.
  • Km 2.0: Cross the street to continue your way on the other side of the street on the sidewalk. This way goes over a ramp to the lakeway. Stay along the lake untill Twann.
  • Km 10.0: Arriving in Twann, stay along the lake.
  • Km 15.0: Arriving in La Neuveville follow the marker direction Le Landeron. Arriving in Le Landeron follow the marker direction Erlach (take the bridge over the canal Zihl). Attention: the road untill Erlach is dangerous.
  • Km 23.0: Arriving in Erlach, follow the national marker of the cycling tour no 5.
  • Km 41.0: In Nidau follow the marker direction Main Station Biel/Bienne.
  • Km 43.0: Arriving in Biel go back to the Main Station.
