"After a one-day excursion in the Three-Lakes Region, we returned on our bikes through the picturesque villages. When we saw the 400-year-old wooden bridge at the entrance to Aarberg, we already knew that a special place awaited us. Arriving at the town square, we took a stroll and admired the fine old bourgeois houses, the variety of restaurants and small shops. On the spur of the moment we decided to enjoy the last few rays of the sun here and treat ourselves to an aperitif. From our table, we watched the goings-on in the square."
