Lyss, the regional centre of the Seeland (approx. 14'000 inhabitants), is not only a base for creative industrial, trading and service companies but also a well-tended and comfortable point of access to the main centres of Switzerland. Located at the hub of the Seeland, Lyss is home to a number of schools and has modern leisure facilities. There is also a rich cultural life with events held annually.

  • The Lyss “1000” lookout tower: a 40-metre lookout tower in the Lyss forest at the Kreuzhöhe offers visitors a view across Lyss and its immediate surroundings, with a 360-degree panorama including the Jura and the Alps.
  • Path through Lyss: a stroll through the village and local history, bringing Lyss to life at 45 blue pillars. The “Path through Lyss” brochure is available at the municipal government office.
  • Mill trail: the Lower Mill built in 1246 lets visitors travel back to the Middle Ages.
