At the gateway to the Seeland you will find the village of Schüpfen with its ten outlying villages of Allenwil, Bundkofen, Bütschwil, Gsteig, Hard, Saurenhorn, Schüpberg, Schwanden, Winterswil and Ziegelried. As a rural yet modern municipality located between the two largest cities in the Canton of Bern (Bern and Biel/Bienne), Schüpfen is an ideal place to settle down. The townscape features both modern buildings and older houses, many of them protected or listed as worthy of preservation. With its variety of restaurants and hotels, Schüpfen offers plenty of opportunities for culinary indulgence. There are also plenty of leisure facilities with almost 40 village clubs, reflecting the vibrancy of life in the village. Schüpfen is served by the Bern – Biel/Bienne railway line and thus enjoys very good public transport connections. There is also a motorway junction for travel to and from Lyss and Biel/Bienne.
