Twann-Tüscherz is located in the Seeland on the left bank of Lake Biel and belongs to the administrative district of Biel/Bienne. The community consists of the following parts: Twann, Gaicht, Wingreis, Tüscherz, Alfermée and the territory of St. Peter's Island. Twann-Tüscherz is the only community on Lake Biel that has five piers of the Lake Biel Navigation Company, two of them on St. Peter's Island. In addition to that, there are several harbours for small boats. Not to be forgotten are the many hiking trails, the most popular through the Twannbachschlucht (Twannbach Gorge).
