"Coming from a family that is far from indifferent to matters of wine, I have always heard the great names of the French, Italian and Spanish estates. A few years ago, when the local winegrowers held an open day, I took my father, who swore to me that our regional wines were more akin to plonk than anything else, to a few cellars in the Three-Lakes Region. Surprised by the quality of the beverages, he admitted to me that his last experience of local wine had been a very long time ago. He acknowledged that these young winegrowers are going from strength to strength in offering surprising and harmonious wines and that they deserve to be recognised. Since then, we have organised at least one little tour each year among the winegrowers of the region."

There are plenty of surprising discoveries to make along the shores of Lake Biel, and their variety will fascinate you. The vines that have been cultivated on the steep slopes of the Jura deserve first mention. As well as the classical varieties such as Chasselas and Pinot noir, the many winegrowing families also work with tireless passion to produce a host of special and rare wines.
