"We have been canoeing in the Ardèche on two occasions. Of course, the landscapes are wonderful but in the high season, the river looks more like a motorway than a place for leisure and relaxation. So, for our third try at canoeing, we chose a region with slightly fewer tourists. Although there were other users (boats, pedalos etc.), the space was so huge that we really felt like we owned the lake. Indeed, paddling on a smooth surface is nothing like a river. There is little current so more physical effort, but also a great sense of freedom. We went at our own pace and enjoyed the wild shores. So we recommend this tour to anyone looking for communion with nature."
