"My friend and I adore the water. When we heard that there was a stand up paddling station in Erlach, we really wanted to go there. On the same day, we went to Erlach and rented two boards. We opted for an approximately 3-hour tour around St. Peter’s Island. We admired the varied landscape with reed beds, forests, vineyards, small picturesque bays and the nature reserve. On this SUP-tour, we discovered many romantic spots that can’t be reached on foot or on bicycles."

Info
The boards are similar to surf boards with the exception that you don’t lie on them paddling with the hands but standing on the boards, a long paddle is used to propel an individual across the surface of the water. SUP is suitable for lakes, rivers and the sea. This sport has its roots in Polynesia, where fishermen moved across the water stand up paddling in their canoes. Similar forms of stand up paddling are also found in other countries.
