"As we ride up from the road to the Pony Ranch, the first things I see are the pintos and Shetland ponies. I come to the ranch for a week every year and I know the various horses. They all have their own history and quirks. The Haflinger in the fourth stall can sometimes be rather difficult to handle, but it is a joy to ride. The dark-brown mare, meanwhile, is very strong and can only be ridden by good riders. Then there is the five-year-old trotter gelding, which many people say is their favourite horse."
